Cwrt-y- Vill Grange

A few walls are all that remains of what were probably the buildings from which the canons of St Augustine’s abbey in Bristol managed their landholdings in Penarth.

Court y Vill was later used to name a farm and a Victorian mansion in the vicinity.

There is no evidence that there was a castle on the site.

The photo was taken during renovations of the old farm house in 2014, the original was can be seen.
