Alan has spent the last few months delving into the archives of the Yacht Club, his talk will feature the history of boating in Penarth, the building of the original club and subsequent extensions and he will talk about significant past members including Sir Harold Clayton and Sven Hansen, famous for his impressive 150 foot yacht, staffed by up to 30 men!.
